Our Taster Sessions are a great way to experience what it’s like to learn computer coding online with Spark4Kids and to support them in determining which of our courses would best suit them.

The Taster Session runs for just under an hour, and during the session we will evaluate your child’s ability with a view to making a recommendation regarding which course they might want to consider. Of course, if the child (or parent) has their own views on what course they want to attend, we will do our best to accommodate or suggest a path towards being able to eventually take the preferred course. Do indicate in the booking notes if you have any preference of subject for the session.

We currently offer taster sessions for our Online & In-person Term-time sessions.

Online Taster Sessions

Our online taster sessions run alongside our Thursday and Saturday classes, providing attendees with an accurate sense of what its like to attend a Spark4kids course.
Once you register, we will provide you with any additional information regarding setting up your computer for the session. Generally, most of our courses only require access to an internet browser, and where additional set-up is required, this will be emailed to you at the time of registration. We advise that parents ensure that your home computer is set-up correctly prior to the session starting (we can help set-up during the session, however this will impact Taster Session time).

In-Person Taster
Sessions

Our in-person taster sessions run alongside our in-person Saturday classes, providing attendees with an accurate sense of what its like to attend a Spark4kids course. The taster session runs for just under an hour, and generally, we advise that parents drop off/leave their children and pick them at the end of the session. Of course, for those children who might take a little longer to get used to new surroundings, parents are welcome to stay as long as is required.

With Spark4Kids, each child is assigned their own computer (which we provide), and using a combination of interactive audio-visual material and course ware, completes the Spark4Kids challenges in their own time. You do not need to bring anything to the Taster Session, all equipment will be provided.

Note that we allocate just a few spaces for in-Person taster sessions each week, so do book early to avoid disappointment.
