The Python Taster 4 Kids session is designed to give young learners aged 11-17 a sneak peek into the exciting world of Python programming in one session. Perfect for those who have experience with block-based languages like Scratch and are ready to take the next step into text-based coding, or those who have done text-based coding before but want to move onto intermediate and more advanced topics.
During this engaging and interactive taster session, attendees will explore the basics of Python: Learn how to use strings, variables, and if statements, interact with Python: Understand how to handle user input effectively.
By the end of the taster session, participants will have an understanding of what the full course entails, helping them decide if they want to continue their coding journey with the Python 4 Kids course.

The 2D Games Design 4 Kids course introduces kids to designing and coding 2D video games for computers, mobile devices, and the web.
Using the Stencyl tool and it’s built-in visual programming language, users drag and drop code from a palette of “code blocks”, snapping them in place and nesting within each other, enabling the creation of advanced logic from basic components. This course is a next step in progression after completing our “Coding 4 Kids” course.
This course is recommended for children who have extensive experience with block languages (such as Scratch) and want to branch into creating games for web, mobile and desktop using professional-level tools.

The Coding 4 Kids course, formerly Scratch 4 Kids, is designed for children aged 8-11 who are taking their first steps in coding.
Attendees are introduced to Scratch, a procedural programming language invented at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for teaching children the concepts of programming using visual blocks as the basic programming constructs. The coding environment within Scratch is both graphical and event-driven. The children manipulate on-screen objects (or sprites) that can be drawn or imported. Commands are grouped into ten categories which include “Motion”, “Sound”, “Pen”, “Data”, “Events”, and “Sensing” to name a few. Language commands are represented as visual blocks that snap together on a ‘coding canvas’ to form syntactically correct, complete programs.
This course is recommended for children aged 8-11, who are beginners or just starting out learning how to code.
The Spark4Kids Dev Squad is an invitation-only course that extends the “Games Design 4 Kids” course, with a focus on building and releasing mobile games to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
JavaScript an ideal programming language for children progressing past the basics of coding, who want an introduction to programming on the web. This course is a next step in progression after completing our “Coding 4 Kids” course. This course is recommended for children aged 11-14 who are ready to progress on to text/keyword-based languages after having programmed “block” based languages (such as Scratch).
The Kodu 4 Kids course is designed for children aged 8-12 who are taking their first steps in coding.
The Python 4 Kids course introduces attendees to a powerful, modern programming language that has a gentle learning curve along with lots of useful accompanying documentation. The nature of Python means you can write short programs really quickly, with the platform remaining flexible enough for its use to be limited only by the programmers imagination.
