Following the relaxation of the COVID restrictions, we are pleased to announce in-person courses at Alleyn’s School, SE22 – alongside our online courses. Choose your preferred location, Online or In-Person, when completing your order.
Tech 4 Little Kids is a computer coding, robotics and animation workshop (10am to 12 noon) for children aged 5-7 covering a variety of technology topics, with kids of all abilities being very much welcome.
Attendees include beginners (who have never done anything like this) all the way through to kids who have already taken their first steps in coding. Children who have attended this workshop in the past can attend again if they enjoyed it the last time: we tailor the coding challenges to build upon topics covered in previous sessions (please indicate previous attendance in booking notes).
This is an all-inclusive workshop, with Spark4Kids providing everything from the software and hardware that the children will use to healthy snacks and drinks – just drop your child off at 10am and pick them up at the end of the fun-filled workshop at 12 noon.
Attendees of all abilities are welcome, from beginners (who have never written a line of code) all the way through to experienced coders. Those who have attended this workshop in the past can attend again if they enjoyed it the last time; we tailor the coding challenges to build upon topics covered in previous workshops (please indicate previous attendance/experience in booking notes).
This is an all-inclusive workshop, with Spark4Kids providing all the course material and tuition.
The workshop will involve various activities including circuit building (basics of electronics), mini-robotics(robot building), and group coding (story-building) and basic animation (using code blocks).
The focus is on creating a fun and supportive environment in which children learn about various aspects of technology and coding.
The workshop is designed to keep the kids engaged during the sessions, and while the focus is on creating a fun and supportive environment in which children learn about various aspects of technology and coding, there will be sufficient breaks to ensure that the children spend some time away from the computer.
As part of COVID-19 protocols, we ask that in-person attendees bring their own computers, headsets (with microphones) and electronic mice to the sessions. Most gaming headsets incorporate headphones and a microphone. USB mice and USB headsets (including those with 3.5mm jacks) are acceptable. If you child doesn’t plan to attend with their computer, mouse, or headset we will provide them with Spark4Kids devices. All equipment provided by us will be cleaned as per COVID-19 guidelines.
We have a COVID Risk Assessment policy in place which complies with health and safety law and COVID prevention control rules. We have proportionate control measures in place. Please refer to our COVID risk assessment.
All COVID controls are subject to government guidance, and thus could be amended at any time, including on a daily basis.
If your child is unwell and showing symptoms of COVID please do not send them in to Spark4Kids, and let us know immediately. Our contact details can be found at the bottom of the page.
